Nick's Oval Cutting Jig
In 1998 we ran into a job that required an oval to be cut
on opposite sides of a sign that had to be a perfect match.
So with this challenge we came to the conclusion that we
required an oval cutting machine.
The machine shown above was the result of that
challenge. It uses aluminum extrusions and
UHMW slides which make beautiful friction free actions.
The size of oval is omni-adjustable and the base is
fastened by 4 small squares of double sided tape thus
eliminating all marks on your project.
This machine can be adapted to virtually any router with ease.
Our standard version has a 3 foot arm which will allow
you to cut ovals up to about 5 feet long. However we can build
you a machine to fit your custom needs whether it be
smaller or larger.
We also include a circle cutter base with our package.
Again double sided tape is used to hold down the base,
which is made from 1/2" acrylic and about 5" square.
Or we can supply a screw down base for those really big
jobs and where screw holes will not destroy your project.
And off course the circle cutter just like the oval cutter is
omni-adjustable.
